About Maria
Welcome,
Finding the right therapist is an important decision. You want someone who not only has the clinical experience to help, but someone who truly understands the challenges you are facing.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping teens, young adults, and families navigate anxiety, emotional challenges, trauma, life transitions, and relationship struggles. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, creating a space where clients feel safe to be themselves and supported as they work toward meaningful change.
Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals and families experiencing a wide range of emotional and life challenges. My experience includes supporting adolescents, young adults, and families through difficult transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation challenges, and complex family dynamics.
I believe therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. I tailor my approach to each person's unique story, strengths, and goals. Using evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care, I help clients develop practical tools while gaining deeper insight and understanding.
Outside of my role as a therapist, I am also a mother of six. My personal experience with parenting and family life has deepened my understanding of the joys, challenges, and complexities families experience throughout different stages of life.
I bring both professional expertise and genuine compassion into my work, meeting each client and family with patience, respect, and understanding.
My goal is to help clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped with the tools they need to move forward. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel challenging, but you do not have to navigate it alone.
I would be honored to support you on your journey.
